ipv6WanDutDuid
Value Type
hex-bytes
Default Value
This testvar must be explicitly defined in the configuration file
Description
This testvar specifies the DUID of the DUT’s WAN DHCPv6 client, which is useful for limiting CDRouter’s DHCPv6 server responses to a single client (the DUT) in shared environments where multiple clients may be present.
When this testvar is configured, CDRouter’s DHCPv6 server will only respond to the DHCPv6 client that has the configured DUID value.
Note: Prior to CDRouter 13.9, CDRouter’s DHCPv6 server would only process DHCPv6 packets that had a LL or LLT type DUID containing the MAC address specified by the dhcpClientMac testvar. If that testvar wasn’t specified CDRouter’s DHCPv6 server would accept DHCPv6 packets from any server. Temporarily, if ipv6WanDutDuid is not configured and dhcpClientMac is, CDRouter will fall back to the old behavior using the MAC address to construct an expected DUID. This functionality will be removed in a future release.
This testvar was added in CDRouter 11.0
