IPv4HopCount

testvar version 13.9

Value Type

decimal

Default Value

1

Description

This parameter specifies the IPv4 hop count, which is normally set to 1. However, CDRouter can also be used to test through a network that contains additional IPv4 devices that change the hop count. The parameter should be adjusted to the expected number of hops between CDRouter’s LAN and WAN test interfaces.

Note that this parameter is automatically set to a value of 0 if bridge mode is enabled. Bridge mode is enabled when the testvar forwardingMode is set to a value of bridge.

Please see the “End to End Testing” section of the CDRouter User Guide for more information on testing devices connected through networks with multiple routers on the WAN, including DHCP-relay setups.
