This option specifies the EAP type used by CDRouter’s RADIUS server for 802.1X authentication on the WAN.
Note that EAP-TLS and EAP-TTLS require certificate information. By default, CDRouter’s RADIUS server uses self signed certificates which can authenticate the 20 provided self-signed client certificates. If the DUT’s WAN 802.1X supplicant is using real certificates, the appropriate root CA must be installed on CDRouter’s RADIUS server. Likewise, the DUT’s 802.1X supplicant must be configured with the appropriate root CA required to authenticate CDRouter’s RADIUS server certificate. Please see our Knowledge Base for more information.
