Description

This parameter specifies the IPv6 address that CDRouter will assign to the CM’s DHCPv6 client on the WAN.

Note that CDRouter’s DOCSIS DHCPv6 server will only respond to requests from CM DHCPv6 clients, which are identified by the presence of the string docsis in the Vendor Class string (option 16) of all received DHCPv6 messages. All other clients will be serviced by CDRouter’s primary DHCPv6 server.

CDRouter’s DOCSIS DHCPv6 server can be configured to respond to a specific CM’s DHCP client by configuring the testvar docsisClientMac.
