Description

This parameter specifies the IPv6 address of CDRouter’s DOCSIS RFC868 time server on the WAN.

This address will be provided dynamically to the CM’s DHCP client by CDRouter’s DOCSIS DHCPv6 server using the DHCPv6 Vendor-specific Information Time Protocol Server suboption (option 37). CDRouter’s DOCSIS DHCPv6 server will also include the Vendor-specific Information Time Offset suboption (option 38) with a value of 0 in all DHCP messages sent to the DOCSIS client.

Note that when queried CDRouter’s time server will provide the system’s current time to the DUT’s DOCSIS client.
