CDRouter DOCSIS & SNMP Basics
Overview
The purpose of this session is to provide an overview of the CDRouter DOCSIS and SNMP expansion’s features and test modules. Users will learn how to enable and configure CDRouter’s DOCSIS servers to provision the DUT’s Cable Modem as well as run additional test modules designed for the Cable Modem itself.
Users will also learn how to configure CDRouter to test the DUT’s SNMP agent and MIB over SNMPv1, v2, or v3.

Prerequisites
- Users should be familiar with the overall DOCSIS architecture and provisioning between the CMTS, Cable Modem and Gateway (eRouter).
- Your team must provide CMTS and network topology details prior to training.
- Please let us know as soon as possible prior to training if you will be testing within an existing “shared” network setup. Additional address allocation and routing configuration may be required in your setup to ensure the CM can be provisioned by CDRouter’s DOCSIS servers. The QA Cafe Support team will be happy to work with you to make any necessary updates.
