CloudShark 4.1.0

We are pleased to announce CloudShark Enterprise 4.1.0, a minor update that builds upon our major 4.0 release. This version introduces GitLab OAuth support, updates to core analysis components, and numerous performance improvements and bug fixes for both the system and Packet Viewer interface.

GitLab OAuth Support

CloudShark Enterprise 4.1 now includes the ability to configure GitLab as an OAuth identity provider, expanding authentication options for environments that run a local GitLab server.

System Component Updates

CloudShark Enterprise 4.1 includes updates to the following core analysis components:

  • Wireshark 4.4.5
  • Suricata 7.0.8

Bug Fixes and Other Changes

  • Fixed an issue importing the OVA to VMWare vCenter 7.x
  • Resolved an installation bug that occurred when CloudShark was not stopped
  • Significantly improved performance for SQL queries in the capture index for non-admin accounts with access to millions of files
  • Fixed a bug where some packet columns were not sorted correctly
  • Added support for text selection within the PacketList (Firefox not supported due to browser bug)
  • Enabled text selection within the Packet Tree by holding down the Cmd key (Mac) / Meta key (Windows)
  • Fixed a bug where auto-completing a display filter would lose the leading ! or (
  • Improved performance when navigating between packets by clicking within a Follow Stream
  • Optimized Follow Stream tabs to load on demand, avoiding blocking of other packet requests
  • Enhanced formatting of the status bar duration field for long captures
  • Fixed a bug when switching decode tabs while clicking inside the Packet Tree
  • Removed the Twitter handle from the footer

Upgrading

CloudShark Enterprise 4.x is designed to be deployed via an OVA disk image that significantly simplifies upgrades and maintenance.
